My first-ever destination wedding was here in Tuscany and although it’s just rolls and rolls of hills, Tuscany holds your awe and wonder in the palm of its hand. So to be back again after all these years as a destination wedding photographer, making this Tenuta di Artimino Wedding Photography brought me so much joy and I’m incredibly excited to be back again soon.

Tenuta Di Artimino: In the heart of Tuscany and just west of Florence, Tenuta Di Artimino is just the most beautiful and photogenic wedding venue in all of Toscana. As an experienced Italy wedding photographer, I can tell you that this place is just incredible for weddings. This incredible estate features the Medici Villa or “Villa La Ferdinanda” very well known in Artimino for its amazing architecture and its rich history. The entire wedding venue is surrounded by gorgeous vineyards, olive groves and picturesque rolling hills. Even as a wedding guest, you won’t want to put your camera away or stop taking photos. Tenuta Di Artimino has luxurious accommodations for all of your wedding guests and provides a perfect location for wedding photos. This is due to the gorgeous gardens, terraces and acres of Tuscan countryside as your backdrop.

Wedding Photography Tips: To make the most of your Artimino wedding photography, here are a few tips from my experience shooting here:
- Golden Hour: Schedule some of your photo sessions during the golden hour, just after sunrise or before sunset, to capture the warm and magical Tuscan light. The venue has some incredible views and the sunsets perfectly over the village of Artimino itself.
- Explore the Estate: Take advantage of the diverse settings around the estate. The vineyards, olive groves, gardens, and terraces each offer amazing opportunities for wedding photos. The last time I was there the couple took a short drive to get some images using the countryside as a backdrop.
- Historic Interiors: Make sure you make use of the Medici villa. The elegant interiors provide a sophisticated and timeless backdrop. I’ve included a couple of images of the Italian Renaissance eesque paintings they have on the ceilings here.
- Candid Moments: Encourage your photographer to capture candid moments throughout the day. The natural beauty of Artimino lends itself to allowing your wedding guests to relax and really enjoy the mood and vibe. That way, when your guests are busy soaking up the Italian atmosphere, your wedding photographer can capture everything as candidly as possible.

Preparing for your wedding photos at Tenuta di Artimino
When it comes to my approach to shooting weddings here in Tenuta Di Artimino. My main priority to to capture the day as organically and as raw as possible. I’m so aware that your wedding day will go by so fast so I want to document your Italian wedding from the inside out. So I mostly tell my brides and grooms to try not to focus on me and just enjoy your wedding as much as possible.
I would recommend having a call with your wedding photographer to discuss what is really important to you and how you want the images to make you feel after the wedding day is over. I love to discuss my destination wedding brides and grooms and how much involvement they like me to have.
I’m always keen to know if my couples would prefer a more editorial vibe over a documentary style or a little of both.
I love to take my couples off sometimes for a very short period of time. Especially in a place like Artimino. I don’t pose my couples or do anything at all to make them feel awkward in front of the camera. I give gentle yet clear directions to make sure the composition and the light are as flattering as possible and create the feeling in the photograph I want to portray for you.
Ultimately I want you to be present on your wedding day and enjoy it with your partner. If you do this and you’ve had a good talk with your wedding photographer, there is no doubt you’ll end up with amazing wedding photos.
