Silverholme Manor Wedding

The Lake District is one of the most beautiful places in the world and photographing a Silverholme Manor Wedding really is a honour. When I originally checkout the venue online I knew it was beautiful, but nothing prepared me for how awesome it actually was. Being Liverpool based myself, Will and Louise have connections here and after meeting them for coffee in the city and having a chat about the guests going and type of wedding they wanted I knew it was going to be perfect to photograph.

Lake Windermere Wedding Venue

Set on the western shores of Lake Windermere, Silverholme Manor is just a wedding photographers dream really. I mean most of my work is photographing people and how those people are interacting and feeling but having this happen within this surrounding is amazing. Being the largest lake in Cumbrias Lake District National Park a lot of weddings take place here. Who wouldn’t want to get married by a lake surrounded by mountains, peaks and villages. It would be a delight to shoot here again.

Coach House Ceremony

The main manor house is a beautiful building, though the ceremonies take place in the annex that is the coach house. Its a great room for a ceremony and Will and Louise practically smiled the whole way though the entire thing! When I’m shooting weddings one of my favourite parts is the wedding ceremony. Its the part that has been been building up for so long. They are packed full of nerves, love, emotions, excitement and are just wonderful moments to take pictures of. Being a Lake District Wedding Photographer I’m lucky enough to photograph many wedding ceremonies in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Silverholme Grounds

The area around the Silverholme Grounds and all of the Graythwaite estate is a perfect location for me to get some beautiful images of my brides and grooms. At some stage during the wedding day my couples and I often take a short walk around the venue and grounds. This allows for the newlyweds to enjoy some alone time and take a breather from all of the emotion of their wedding. It also allows for me to get creative with my camera and shoot some beautiful bridal portraits as well as some beautiful images of the couple. Its a nice time for the couple to also reflect of their wedding so far and prepare for speeches, dancing and more!
