Shankly Wedding In Liverpool

I absolutely loved shooting this wedding in Liverpool at the Shankly Hotel for Melanie and Liam. We had the best weather for a perfect Liverpool wedding. Liverpool is Melanie’s home town and so the location was perfect for her dream day. This wedding was full of energy, smiles, laughter and love. Its one of the things I love so much about shooting weddings, the people. Melanie and Liam threw an incredible wedding and invited some awesome wedding guests to make the whole thing what it was. I’m super delighted to share my work as a Shankly Wedding Photographer with you. Thanks again to Melanie and Liam for having me there to capture it all.

Bridesmaids and Bridal Prep

I love the excitement and roller coaster of moods that the bridal preparations go though on the morning of a wedding. One moment all of the girls can be relaxed and just chatting. The next thing its unrolled laughter as old memories and funny stories of the hen party are brought up. Then the mood can suddenly change as someone notices the time and reality of what about to happen starts to sink in. Melanie had her best friends with her in the morning and it was a pleasure to get to know them briefly. All looking amazing and drinking bubbly whilst waiting for Melanie to get ready with Katie Bishop Make Up. Her mum and dad, Mary and Phil where also there during all of the preparations and was great to see how proud they were of their daughter on her wedding day.

Liverpool Church Ceremony

Melanie and Liam had their wedding ceremony at Our Lady of the Annunciation – Bishop Eton on Wilton Road in Liverpool. We had the perfect September weather for the entering and leaving of the church. Everything in between was perfect too. The smiles on everyones faces were just wonderful. From the pride of all the parents to the excitement on Liams face as the ladies began to arrive. It’s such a beautiful venue inside too. Gorgeous decor for a gorgeous wedding ceremony. I love the photo below of Melanie and Phil (her dad) when they are together after they have reached the end of the aisle. It was great to watch Melanie and Liam say their vows full of sincerity and smiles.

Speeches and Dancing At The Shankly Hotel

The Shankly Hotel boasts some of the most incredible views of Liverpool and witch huge, huge huge glass windows you can’t miss it. This is all at the Garden of Eden at the Shankly. Its practically the rooftop of the hotel and it’s such an incredible room. After it was beautifully decorated and all the guests were at their seats, they had some amazing, funny and emotional speeches. A great part of the day that I love to photograph. From capturing the emotions of the parents to the reactions of the wedding guests. Another thing I love to photograph is the first dance and party. This one was great too because Melanie is a professional dancer and had a load of dancer friends at the wedding so the dance floor was pretty amazing!
