What a pleasure it is to be a Portmerion Wedding Photographer. After getting my first enquiry about the opportunity to photograph a wedding here I was super excited. There are not many places around with more of an interesting story or character than that of portmeirion. Set in the heart of rural Wales this really is a wedding venue like nothing you’ve seen before. I know we all carry mobile phones with cameras now so if you’re ever here in this enchanting village you’ll be sure to be taking lots of photos.

Portmeirion Wedding Ceremonies

When couples choose to have their wedding here in Portmeirion you have a choice of location for your wedding ceremony. You can choose to have it in the Mirror Room which is for much smaller parties of up to 14 people. Its a gorgeous room in the main hotel and is stunningly decorated. The Tudor Room can take a few more guests and has a great view over the village. This oak panelled private terrace can have up to 35 wedding guests. The final spot you can choose is Hercules Hall and this will boost your guest numbers up to 100. Just a short walk from the main hotel so once your wedding ceremony is over you can head straight to the hotel for your wedding breakfast before heading back to Hercules Hall for your first dance.

Portmeirion Hotel

Once you’ve had your wedding ceremony at either of the ceremony locations above you’ll hear to the Portmeirion Hotel to have your wedding breakfast. The beautiful decorated hotel has incredible views of the estuary and the food here is amazing. I was lucky enough to have a meal provided by the venue staff the last time I was here as a Portmeirion Wedding Photographer.  You’ll be drinking fine wine and drinking Champagne with all over your wedding guests in the best environment.

First Dance At Portmeirion

Your evening reception here will be back at Hercules Hall and during the evening you can have upto 150 guests in the hall. You’ll be able to have your first dance together as a married couple surrounded by all those close to you. Also if you love food, the buffet service they put on here really is incredible. They put on some amazing welsh traditional dished will lolly sourced produce. You can be sure that you wedding party will end in the most wonderful way at this amazing wedding venue.
