Lake District Wedding Venues
When it comes to choosing a wedding venue anywhere in the UK you’re pretty much spoiled for choice. There are incredible places to get married all over. Up in the northwest in the county of Cumbria, there are some incredible Lake District Wedding Venues you’ll surely want to consider. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the UK, if not the world, and one of the very reasons I love being a Lake District Wedding Photographer. This is the reason I’ve put together this shortlist of Wedding Venues here in Cumbria.
Silverholme Manor, Graythwaite
This beautiful wedding venue on the Graythwaite Estate on the banks of west Windermere is just incredible. During my time as a Silverholme Manor Wedding Photographer I’ve been on the ground to witness magic here. Beautiful romantic walks of couples with a misty lake in the background. The Manor House has a really nice feel to it and I even love the sound of the gravel path that really adds to the atmosphere. Both the wedding ceremony and the reception took place in the coach house for Louise and Will for their Silverholme Manor Wedding. A really nice annex to the main building. You must check this place out if you’re thinking of a Lake District Wedding. I’d love to hear from you if you’re getting married here!
New House Farm, Cockermouth
I just love this wedding venue and being a New House Farm Wedding Photographer makes me want to shoot there all the time. This beautiful luxury B&B and grade II listed guest house goes all the way back to 1650. If You want a venue with character and history then this could be the place for you. The venue is located between Buttermere and Lorton the perfect place to explore the wildlife, lakes, and amazing scenery the lakes has to offer. If you’re getting married here you’ll be likely to have the wedding ceremony in the original Lakeland barn. Due to the amazing feel of this venue a wedding here will have a strong sense of elegance and sophistication. A place your wedding guests will also love as it’s both the perfect setting and they’ll also have plenty to do before and after your wedding. I just loved shooting Clare + Richards New House Farm Wedding.
Lodore Falls, Keswick
Lake District weddings at the Lodore Falls are perfect for intimate or larger weddings. To tie the knot here will provide you with the most beautiful natural backdrop the lakes has to offer. You won’t be short of wedding photo opportunities thats for sure. Even though I take a strong documentary approach to my work I still love to incorporate the atmosphere and landscape into my style of photography. Situated on the banks of Derwent Water and Watenlath beck you can have your wedding ceremony in the beautiful garden gazebo that overlooks the Catbell’s fell. Being a Lodore Falls Wedding Photographer is something I don’t dont for granted at the photo opportunities here are just incredible!
Inn On The Lake, Ullswater
The Lake District was recently voted the most romantic place in the UK. So any wedding venue here in Cumbria is going to be perfect for weddings. Though the Inn On The Lake is really up there as one of the top contenders of all of the venues here. Having shot some Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography before I can tell you from experience that it’s a dream to shoot at. The outdoor wedding ceremony spot looks directly over Ullswater and you’ll be completely surrounded by hills and fells. I remember driving there for the last wedding I photographed there and telling myself that this place is amazing and I need to come back more often. Be sure to consider The Inn On The Lake as one of your Lake District Wedding Venues. It’s set in 15 acres of landscaped grounds that lead all the way to the Lake Shore.
