Amalfi Coast Wedding Venues

5 Luxury Wedding Venues To Consider For Your Italian Wedding

Of all of the Italian Wedding Locations you can choose for your Italian destination wedding, its no wonder why the Amalfi coast is so popular. The 50km of one of the most breathtaking coastlines on the planet should be reason enough to have a wedding here really. Whomever visits this dramatic Italian coastline filled with pastel coloured villages will be blown away for sure. In fact just visiting the Amalfi coast is on many of peoples bucket lists around the world.

So closing this location is a pretty easy decision really. Then your task of planning a wedding in Italy can begin. Though one of the toughest choices you’ll have is looking through all of the Amalfi Coast Wedding Venues and just settling on one. I’ve tried here to create a short list here of wedding venues that I’ve either photographed weddings at or are wedding venues that i’m excited to shoot at one day.

Villa Eva Ravello

This true Mediterranean style wedding venue is perfect if your looking for a more classical look for your wedding. The beautiful gardens with incredible sea views allow your wedding guests to have just the best time. One of the great things about weddings in Italy is the light. The Amalfi Coast is perfect for it. It has an impressive panoramic view over the Italian coastline though it has real sense of privacy and secluded atmosphere. If you’re looking for a civil wedding at Villa Eva you’ll have to have it at the town hall. Though excluding Catholic ceremonies you can have those on the beautiful villa grounds. Catholic wedding ceremonies need to take place at the Duomo of Ravello. Always worth noting the legal side of getting married in Italy. Though that place is pretty amazing. I’m really looking forward to making some beautiful Villa Eva Wedding Photography later this year. The couple that have chosen me as their wedding photographer have chosen this venue as they think its the perfect place to host their friends and family so they can all be close together in one of the most beautiful places in Italy.

Amalfi Coast Wedding Venues

Hotel Belmond Caruso

The Belmond Caruso is a sister hotel to the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo and is a 11th century wedding venue has 50 rooms and suites. It has one of the most beautiful infinity pools you could imagine. They call this heated pool an architectural masterpiece. It’s actually one of the highest points above the town of Ravello. This hotel would be a real treat for both you and your wedding guests. If you or any of your wedding guests did want to leave the hotel, the hotel offers shuttles to Amalfi and Positano. They even have a boat tour that complimentary every day for guests to get out on the water. A great way to view the Amalfi Coast. This really is up there as one of the best wedding venues in Italy. Enough about the hotel now, how will it work regarding your wedding day. Imagine ancient frescoes and panoramic views whilst you’re feeling the most elegant you’ve ever felt in your wedding dress. Imagine everything looking and feeling perfect and then you sit down shortly after your wedding ceremony to enjoy the most beautiful Italian cuisine. Whichever way you decide to get married here you’ll end up with nothing short of historic grandeur tied in with modern luxury. This place really is a Destination Wedding Photographers dream!

Villa Astor

Much further down the Amalfi Coast on the other side of the peninsular overlooking the gulf of Naples is Villa Astor. If you want to go all out for a dramatic look for your wedding then an Italian wedding venue on a cliff edge will do it for you! The venue is labelled “Paradise” and with good reason. The history of this venue goes all the way back to the 1st century AD!! You can read much more about the rich history on their website. One of the things I love about historic wedding venues is that your wedding becomes a part of that history. The venue on Via Marina Grande with its 6 luxurious suites was named one of the trendiest Italian wedding venue by Brides Magazine. A real “Romantic” place which is not only perfect for wedding ceremonies with all of your friends and family, but if you just want the most romantic elopement ever. Imagine having a wedding ceremony in such a place with Mount Vesuvius in the background. Your perfect marriage filled by alfresco dining with the Italian sky as your canvas.

Palazzo Avino

If your going to have a destination wedding then why not do it in a 5 star deluxe hotel. One of the most incredible Amalfi Coast Weddings Venues in Ravello. Palazzo Avino sits 1000ft above the sea and with the offer of hydromassage pools for your wedding guests, you’ll have some very happy people attending your wedding. You many have to think hard about writing your guest list. With a limit of 75 people you’ll have exclusive use of the restaurant or if your having a smaller more intimate wedding you can host your guest on the panoramic terrace. The wedding breakfast will be served by a one Michelin star restaurant and you’ll not be disappointed. The  venue is only open from April to October though these are the best months to be on the Amalfi Coast.

Villa Treville

Villa Treville in Positano reminds me of a venue in Taormina that I photographed once. I’m not sure if is the colours or the style and character of the venue. However this Amalfi Coast Wedding Venue has been featured in Vouge, Brides Magazine more than once and Christina McNeill. So yeah its a pretty popular choice if your looking for something special to celebrate your big day. Its gorgeous balconies and terraces make this breathtaking venue very popular with celebrities. This was once the home of Franco Zeffirelli. A very famous Italian film and opera director. Positano is one of the most picturesque locations along the Amalfi Coast. Yet another 5 star luxury villa complex and the staff have a meticulous way of ensuring any weekend guest or bride and groom have the most wonderful experience possible. This venue is not only any brides dream place but its also an Amalfi Coast Wedding Photographers dream too!
