Hey I’m Stephen and I’m one of the many Amalfi Coast Wedding Photographers who never takes a day for granted that I get to capture so many amazing love stories on the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. If you’ve booked your wedding here and you’re in the process of planning your Italian wedding you must be incredibly excited. Please feel free to look through my portfolio and have a read through my blog. I would love to hear from you and hear all about your Italian wedding. Below you’ll find some of my work along side why I love to photograph weddings in Italy.
What Does Wedding Photography Mean To Me?
Being an Amalfi Cost Wedding Photographer allows me to document some of the most beautiful love stories in the world. Couples looking for a less traditional photographer that is both creative and captures their wedding in the following way book me fore their weddings.
Couples wanting photographs that not just represent visual aspects of the wedding day. But how people feel on the day. Capturing real connections between family members and making photos that show who those people really are.
Do you want staged, looking into the camera wedding photos that just has people looking and smiling?
Or
Do you want the feeling of anticipation and the energy in the air captured. Do you want to see and feel what it was like to laugh and have fun with those close to you?
I hope this short video explains my approach to my work and maybe we could arrange a chat sometime if you think I could be the wedding photographer for your special day.
When is comes to being more specific for choosing a wedding location along this gorgeous 50km coast line of pastel villages, rugged shoreline and the stunning blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, you’re again going to have a tough time choosing. Here are some of the more popular and incredible locations along the Amalfi Coast. Destination wedding photographers are always keen to shoot weddings here, all for obvious reasons!
Ravello
Ravello is small town set 365 meters above sea level so not directly on the coast line but being up so high on the cliffs makes for the most amazing views. It hosts some amazing cliffside gardens and is home to some incredible wedding venues such as Villa Eva and Villa Cimbrone. The main thing to see here is the Dumo Di Ravello which is the Cathedral of Ravello. I think the main reason couples choose this location for their wedding is that it has a real authentic and historic Italian feel to it, its incredibly romantic and unbelievably picturesque. It has all of the beauty and luxury of other towns along the Amalfi Coast but without the crowds.
Amalfi
Amalfi is the largest town along the Italian coast and after the hustling streets of Sorrento and Positano is the 3rd most popular town. Full of medieval buildings and lined with pebble beaches Amalfi is a little more of an “all round” town. Its home to wedding venues such as the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi. Its located almost perfectly along the middle of the coast line and about a 40 minute drive from Sorrento.
Sorrento
One of the most popular locations on the Amalfi Coast is Sorrento and its popular for just generic tourists and those wanting a wedding here. Home to many Amalfi Coast Wedding Venues Sorrento is known as the starting point of the Amalfi Coast. Many visitors use this location for ease of access to Naples and Pompeii. You’ll never be able to look in a direction and see someone without a camera taking photos. Dont let this put you off though. Most Italians speak English here and its perfect for weddings in venues like Hotel Villa Zagara. Its a hidden gem and slighty out of the way of the crowds with the most beautiful gardens. A wedding ceremony in Cloisters is most common here and provides an amazing ambiance for couples to say their vows!
Positano
If you’ve ever seen a photograph of the Amalfi Coast, there is a good possibility it was of Positano. Incredibly picturesque and well known for its pastel-coloured buildings that cover the cliffs all the way down to the waters. A very popular place along the coastline though for good reason. Known for its luxury and some amazing seaside restaurants for an incredible and unforgettable dining experience. Amalfi Coast Wedding Photographers love to shoot in this town though its not always easy to get around! You’ll have to have some degree of fitness to get around though. Known as the “Vertical Town” there are plenty of steps. I guess all of this Italian beauty comes at a cost! Positano has some beautiful private villas you can hire for your dream wedding.
